THE RESURRECTION OF LAZARUS ANDTHE CHURCH OF SAINT LAZARUS WITH THE THREE DOMES IN THE CITY OF LARNACA |Short Film 2022|

This Educational video production is an outcome of the Erasmus project KA2 - Pantins pour l’inclusionStudents from Regional Gymnasium of Livadia and students from different schools in Europe who work in different European Erasmus + programs collaborated to create the puppet show "The Resurrection of Lazarus" and the short film: THE RESURRECTION OF LAZARUS AND THE CHURCH OF SAINT LAZARUS WITH THE THREE DOMES IN THE CITY OF LARNACA.

The idea of creating the Puppet Theater "The Resurrection of Lazarus" had as its main goal to meet the needs of the Erasmus + KA229 program "Pantins pour l'inclusion", and to promote the religious and cultural heritage of Cyprus. Also, to give the opportunity to Regional Gymnasium of Livadia and the European Partners to participate in the Charity Event "Saint Lazarus and his little friend Savvas" organized at the Perivoli Agiou Lazarou on 17.10.2021.

The puppet show "The Resurrection of Lazarus" was screened for the first time at the Charity Event on 17th of October 2021. With the encouragement and support of the Principal of the School Mr. Chara Anastasiou, the Erasmus students proceeded to the production of the puppet theater based on the New Testament and specifically on the Gospel of St. John. The students created the scenes, the characters and with the help of their teachers they learned how to play their roles. The innovative thing was that the students from Regional Gymnasium of Livadia, collaborated remotely with the students from the schools of the European partners.

The students from the schools in Europe took on roles and played each character separately, giving their voices, to create the specific puppet theater. It was a very complex process, and it was done with the help of new technology.
